Madrigal Miracle
Here we have a juxtaposition of Mirabel holding the family miracle candle. In the middle of Tio Bruno's Vision dust. We see it glowing in swirls around her. Bruno behind her, watching her steps through the vision. We also see two of Casita's cracks, that have been filled in with gold. That was a tradition I wanted to include myself. As kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold (or silver or platinum) lacquer, transforming the object's "scars" into a unique and valued feature. Instead of disguising the damage, kintsugi highlights it, emphasizing the object's history and resilience. It's not just a repair technique, but also a philosophy that embraces imperfection and the beauty of transformation. Which I felt embodied the Madrigal family throughtout the movie. We also have two golden butterflies to pay homage to Abuela and Abuelo. 'Dos Oruguitas', Also the swirling vision sands glow in blacklight.
